Here you'll find examples of special orders I've made for customers, as well as some projects that were too cool to go up for sale!
Rustic Coat Rack
This is a truly one-of-a-kind piece that is as beautiful as it is functional. Made from five hand forged hooks secured to a gorgeous cedar plank. This was previously for sale in the store, but it found a good home with some really great people.
Measures 25 inches wide by 7 1/2 inches tall.
I wanted to give stock removal a try, so I took an old hatchet head I had laying around and shaped it into the implement you see above. The head is reminiscent of a bearded Viking axe, but isn't what you would call "historically accurate" by any means. The handle is a hickory branch that was hanging out in the woodshed, previously destined to become fuel for my smoker. I hand-carved it into the handle shape and added a simple leather wrap. Though I've had several offers, this particular hatchet is not for sale. This one has become my general purpose hatchet/camp axe. If you happen by the homestead and see someone wildly swinging a hatchet around, don't be alarmed. I'm just trimming the shrubbery.
(I do plan to make a few more of these to actually sell, so don't fret if it has caught your eye. There will be some available from the store this summer.)
Mr. and Mrs. Sign with Stump Display Stand
Hand-forged leafy vines double as hangers for this striking wedding reception centerpiece. The text is burned in to the cedar slab and the stump was carved with a chainsaw to act as a display. This sign can be requested by special order, but I can't guarantee a stump for every sign.
Cedar Desk with Antique Sewing Machine Legs
This is my personal desk. Assembled from bits of history, every part of this desk has a story. This is a truly one-of-a-kind piece that will stay in my family for generations.
